Live commentating - The Game Fair,

Ragley Hall, Warwickshire

  • Commentating.....

I was asked some weeks prior to this event, to commentate on the ‘amateur’ gundog challenges, explaining who was competing and what was going on. After researching how a gun dog challenge works and some history of the event itself, I was ready to go live!!

  • Prize Giving.....

The dogs taking part in the gun dog challenges were spaniels and retrievers, competing in pairs. After the scores were in, at 5pm the winner was announced, winning a first prize of £2000 !!

  • When is it my turn?

Hundreds of people and their dogs come from all over the country to compete in the dog trials, or just watch what was going on. There was also plenty of food and drink on offer for both the two legged and four legged varieties of attendees!

And the next competitors are…!!.

During the day I kept the audience up to date as to who was competing, describing what was happening in the competition ring, in addition to explaining what the judges were looking for in their assessments of each dog.

in between events, I gave some general information about the Game Fair, and other events coming up at Ragley (near Worcester). In this clip you see me doing just that…
